Inspired by Qian Weikang’s ‘Ladder Poem’, we invite gallery visitors to create their own automated poems from falling notes. Connect to the themes of the exhibition Poetry goes no further than language through this literary experiment that laid the path for the artist’s working methods, which simultaneously questioned the foundations of art itself.

Free, all are welcome.

Poetry goes no further than language traces the contemporary turn in Chinese art through the emergence of conceptualism and the work of Beijing artist collective New Measurement Group (1988–1995).
